The patch for the PC-DVD version of GRID taking to game to version 1.1 is now available to download!
However please note that this version of the patch only works with the PC-DVD version of the game and not if you have downloaded the game from Steam, Metaboli or Direct2Drive. Patches for the downloaded version of the game should be available \"within days\".

The last weekend before GRID's US release is here and we at Codies feel your pain. So,how about some things to make the time pass quickly, to quench the thirst, if just for one more weekend?
Well, as this update goes live, the best racers in Europe are battling it out in London to win the coveted BMW.
The game’s been gaining rave reviews from all over the web – so another way to keep your anticipation under control would be to go to this forum thread, where you can see a collection of some great quotes and scores, and links through to the reviews in full.
How about watching the
Damage video we released earlier in the week?
We really must give a mention to the GRID widgets created by forum member Paddywak. Really great work, and we’ll be sending the creator some goodies in honour of his effort. (This program is NOT supported by codemasters)
And congratulations to “RedBu11”, winner of last week’s forum Screenshot competition, whose winning entry can be seen at the top of this post!
Of course, all these are only temporary measures, and may not sustain you for a whole weekend. In the event of extreme withdrawal, we can only recommend sitting and making engine noises to yourself.
Well, it might work.
Carrying on playing the demo is probably a better idea, come to think of it.

The damage engine in GRID is one of the things that really defines the game, and is an area where the development team are genuinely world-leading.
In this new video, you can see footage of the damage engine in action, while Chief Designer Ralph Fulton talks about the system and what a full damage engine really means for a racing game.
