Problem

An error is received before the game starts, reporting that Second Sight will be shut down.

Solution

Make sure that you have installed Direct 9.0c during the installation process.

Problem

After installing the game, the user is prompted to restart the PC. However, after restarting the same prompt - to restart the PC - keeps appearing.

Solution

This should be solved by updating the drivers for the Star-Force copy protection system, from here:
